About Laura FitzGerald-Kemmett
Laura grew up in the West End of Scituate, on a small gentleman’s farm where she belonged to 4-H and raised sheep and other livestock. She graduated from Eastern Nazarene College with a BSBA. She has been in the financial services and retirement industry in various capacities for over thirty years. She is a Justice of The Peace and a Notary Public.
She and her husband John moved to Hanson twenty years ago and raised their two children here.
Laura was active in bringing the Community Preservation Act to Hanson and is currently the Chair of the Hanson Community Preservation Committee. Laura has been the President of the Panther Education Foundation (a 501(c)(3) that provides grants to the Whitman-Hanson Regional High School) for over eight years and in that capacity she has held many large scale and successful fundraisers including Battle of the Bands, Kids Fitness Festival and Truck or Treat. She is also a Board Member and Fundraising Chair for the Hanson Food Pantry. In addition, she is an member of the Kiwanis Club of Hanson.
Laura resides in Hanson with her husband, daughter and her beloved dog Gracie. When she is not working, she enjoys gardening, biking, hiking and camping.
